This year's cobrasnake.com-inspired yardsale party will be held in downtown windsor on May 29th, 2009 and will raise funds for CJAM FM!
The exact location is yet to be determined, but we'll post as soon as we know.
Cjam has been a crucial part of our city's cultural scene, advocating an open mind to music, art, politics and social issues for over 25 years. This year has been especially problematic for our favourite campus radio station, as it has been at the forefront of windsor media lately due to the possibility of losing their signal to a US station. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the facebook page dedicated to moving cjam up the FM dial.
So, cjam is all over this party already, and it's promising to be huge. gigantic. listen to 91.5 for our ads, asking you to contact us via facebook or myspace (or now, by blog!) and let us know if you have donations. Cjam is located in the CAW Student Center basement at the University of Windsor and is willing to pass along your things to us! So, raid your closet, your friends' and parents' closets, your grandparents' closets, check out value village for rad finds, and send them along!
Also, if you are a windsor/detroit resident in the arts and wish to show your work, contact us and we'll do our best to include you on the day of the party!
We're still in the early stages of planning the event, but check back and spread the word the best you can..... the more people involved and the more 'stuff' to show, the better the party, and the more funds raised for cjam!!!
